Interior designer Eric Negrete has been creating enduring style for 20 years.

After many successful years as a designer and showroom manager in Houston and Los Angeles, Eric has returned to his roots in the cultural crossroads that is Kansas City to provide inspired interior design from a Midwestern base. In 2005, Design Eric Negrete’s (dEN) studio and design space featuring vignettes of eclectic furnishings, original artwork, and Eric’s private label upholstered furniture.

His signature “Hollywood Regency” style could be considered an amalgam of old world Hollywood glamour, 19th century Regency and Moderne. Eric’s projects are a blending of eras with an emphasis on modern élan. He is influenced by the works of Kelly Wearstler, Dorothy Draper, Billy Baldwin, Jean Michael Frank, Coco Chanel, Georgio Armani, Mark Rothko and others.

Eric’s enthusiasm for design is contagious. dEN has grown exclusively by referrals from key clients that expect and receive excellence from Eric and his team. From consult to installation, dEN ensures a consistent development of ideas and dialogue, the culmination of which represents the client’s intent and dEN’s vision.

Eric’s attention to detail and follow through has ensured the success of several
high exposure projects including: 40 Sardines restaurant, Hotel Phillips, Hallbrook Country Club, Kansas City’s Miniature & Toy Museum, and numerous private residences. The 40 Sardines restaurant project in Leawood, Kansas, was one of five nominees for the James Beard 2003 Award for Best Restaurant Design.
In July 2004, Kansas City Magazine listed Eric Negrete as one of “52 people
you ought to know.”
